Adobe Bridge, To use or not to use?

Adobe Bridge:

Adobe bridge is a software that is developed by adobe to help the Adobe users to manage their files easily and efficiently.

Bridge can help organize files by renaming a group of them at once, assigning colored labels or star ratings, edit embedded or associated XMP and IPTC Information Interchange Model metadata and sort or categorize them based on their metadata. It can work with different versions of a file that is part of an Adobe Version Cue project. However, it lacks the photo editing functions of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Image files can be shown in different sized thumbnails, slide shows or lists. Each folder, which can be bookmarked, has a cache file for speeding up rendering time of images when viewing a thumbnail. The cache can be in one central location or in individual folders.
Adobe Bridge is really convinient to use, so If you don't know how to use it. It might be a good idea to start studying it, It might really really help you in the future.

I am just starting to study it. and I find it very useful because I can organize files and get files from adobe bridge to other softwares like Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and many many more.

The Interview

My Experience during our interview is very satisfying, Because not only we get to other places, we also get to experience some of the business side of multimedia.

On July 1, 2014 we set off to Manila at 8:30 a.m., we got there an hour after.  First we had breakfast on KFC in Araneta Center. Then we go to Krispy Kreme, to buy our token of gratitude, then we set off.

Afterwards......

We set off to go to our meeting place in Quezon Avenue, So we need to use the MRT to get there, because its much faster and cheaper. When we got there we waited in a Cafe, but we don't know that our interviewee was already there.  Our interviewee is Sir Mikko David, Head Photographer and columnist of Top Gear magazine, at first I though that Sir Mikko would be in a serious mood, because it's a interview, but he welcomes us and started a little chat, He makes us feel comfortable with him, Before we start our interview we gave him our token of gratitude, he accepts it, and guess what? He share it with us. Then we proceed to our real objective to get some insights  with our interviewee, As we progress through the interview, He made me realize that, If you really have the passion for what you do, You don't have to put so much effort and energy in what you do, because you enjoy it. He gave us tips about being a photographer, and the business side of Photography.

After we finish our interview, we chat a little, He told us a little bit about his career and his passion, I was shocked that he told us that he was a racer back then, He is a car enthusiast, and I was really excited because I am also into cars just like he is. I showed him a copy of my Top Gear Magazine issue, and he showed us some of his articles in that issue of the magazine.

After that we took some Photos with him and thank him for the time and effort to see us, and I hope I get to see him again, Because he is a really inspiring Photographer for me.

The whole experience of the Interview for me was a blast, not only I get to meet other persons, I also get a chance to bond with my classmates.

What was it like before the emergence and development of Multimedia?

I think the life the of the citizens of the Philippines back then, where there is no multimedia or there are some but it is still under development.  I think the of the Filipinos back where there is no multimedia is pretty boring and pretty awesome at the same time.

It is boring because, we only get to see boring pictures, very simple and the picture back then was black and white. We don't get to see our loved ones that move to another country in a very long time, We get the mail months after it was sent by the sender. We don't get to see flashy billboards, and we only read plain old newspaper.

It is pretty awesome at the same time because, we don't need to use too much electricity, we don't stay at home all day doing the same thing over and over again, we get to hang out with friends more often, we don't have to buy expensive gadgets to keep up with the world, and the most important of all, WE GET TO SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER PEOPLE!, not just staying at your room using cellphone and using your computer or laptop all day. Now we can see our loved ones through social sites.

Its pretty boring and pretty awesome with business too!

Its pretty boring in business because, the business was slow, the sales are always the same, the same people go to your shop or store to buy your product, you can't expand your market elsewhere because some people don't know your products, and most of all your product is very famous if people from other places go to your store just to buy your product, it means that your product has a high quality because people from other part of the country go to your specific address just to buy your products without the power of the multimedia advertising.

Its awesome because, your business can be known with just a little amount of time your product can be know by the whole country with just a click.  We get to expand our market and franchise to other place in the country because, more people knows about your product with the power of multimedia advertisement. You just post some picture or videos of your product in the social sites and BOOM! there goes your free advertisement. So it is pretty to get free advertisement nowadays, but the negative part is there is too many competition. :/

My Dream Multimedia Business

My dream multimedia business would be magazine production, about Luxury cars and a solo magazine of "Lexus" automotive. I really love luxury cars, I literally browse magazine for hours looking for luxury cars. My favorite is Lexus, because that is where my second name came from. My father gave it to me, because he is also a fan of luxury automotive. Someday I will buy my own Lexus. Someday I will get to design my own unit of Lexus.

I will work hard, study well and practice my editing skills to make cool design for my magazines.

I will name my magazine " S/Lexus " (para hindi nmn po siya plagiarize :)) It will be very cool though, for the luxury automotive enthusiast. If I save a lot of money, I will buy my own share in the Lexus company and go with the designing team, and design Lexus cars. :) )

STATE OF THE MULTIMEDIA INDUSTRY OF THE PHILIPPINES

We can say that the "Multimedia Industry" of the Philippines is "going sky high". Many of us Filipinos have a computer at our home and at our school. Almost every student in our country knows how to use computer, except for those students who can't afford Personal computers or PC. Many Filipinos uses different kinds of multimedia, specially the Multimedia artists. There are many type of multimedia that are being used today, such as "Text, Audio, Animation, Video, still images, Interactivity".

Newspaper

The newspaper industry of the Philippines is very important to its people, because many people who can't afford electronic devices such as computer, cellphone, e-reader, and many more. are using The newspaper, which is more affordable than the electronic devices. The Printing Industry of the Philippines is growing 7%  annually, and its pretty decent for some industry who is aiming global competitiveness. but our economy is experiencing another downturn, so the Printing industry of the Philippines is in a standstill.
As you can see the image above, The destribution of the Printing establishment in the country is quite many, Many of the Publishing and Printing establishment is in the NCR region. because its the capital region of our country. We can say that it is many, but many of the number in that image is just a small printing establishment who operates only one or two printing machines.

Radio

On May 8 1933 the US government established and operated radio station DZFM in the Philippines on the frequency of  710 kilocycles with the power of 10,000 watts through the United States Information service. well that is the history and starting point of the radio broadcasting on the Philippines.  Radio is still the most popular source of news and entertainment in the Philippines, despite the rising usage of the Internet and the Television. Many of the radio company is owned by a bigger company like the "ABS-CBN and GMA network". Many of the radio broadcasting station is privately owned or made for commercials.

Animation / Television

I can say that the animation industry of the Philippines is filled with very talented Filipinos that can make animation that can "WoW" the world. Many talented Filipino animators work in different countries to showcase their talent in animation. Many animators contributed in the development of many loved animated series and cartoons such as:
Scooby-Doo
Tom and Jerry
Dragon Ball Z
Addams Family
The Jetsons

The Mask
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Captain Planet

It is all under entertainment giants like "Walt Disney", "Warner Bros.", "Hanna Barbera", "Cartoon Network", "Japanese Anime", "HBO", and  "Marvel Comics".
Animation industry in the Philippines is still blooming, because young animators are still studying, while the Professional animators go abroad to work in a bigger company.

All I can say is that the Multimedia Industry of the Philippines is going up, because our technology is advancing, More and more Filipinos is using Multimedia. Almost everyone in the country knows how to use computer. Many big companies in the Philippines are using Multimedia as a source of income, and as a source of entertaining people.
